Prosthetics include crowns which rebuild lost or compromised tooth structure that is still strong enough to be covered with a metal or ceramic crown. Done correctly, it will match the shape and color of the existing teeth. Bridges are similar to crowns but are supported by two or more teeth and replace one or more missing teeth bridging the gap. Dentures replace non-repairable teeth that need to be taken out on patients with financial considerations. Dentures can involve all the teeth or replace a segment and are held in place by suction and surrounding muscles. Dental Implants are the gold standard for replacing single or multiple missing teeth. Unlike crowns which are fastened to existing tooth roots, implants are attached to a patient’s jaw bone and the replacement tooth sits on top of an abutment, which connects the crown to the implant, replacing the missing teeth. Whatever type of prosthetics are chosen, you can be assured Dr. Dischler’s patients will receive high-quality, aesthetically pleasing dental work.

High Blood pressure, diabetes, cardiac disease, obesity, dementia, hypoxia, excessive daytime sleepiness, decreased libido, sleep fragmentation, depression, bed-partner sleep interference, dry mouth syndrome, mouth breathing, increased tooth decay are among the maladies associated with sleep apnea.

Dr. Dischler can treat patients with mild to moderate obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) when prescribed by a sleep physician.  An oral appliance called a mandibular advancement device (MAD) can be used for treatment when a continuous positive air pressure (CPAP) machine and a mask are not a viable solution. If you are among the 22 million Americans living with OSA, you need an effective solution to keep your airway open during sleep. If traditional treatment is not an option and you are looking for an alternative, you can breathe easier with a MAD called a Herbst Appliance. This intra-oral device has been shown to improve the symptoms of mild to moderate obstructive sleep apnea so you can get a restful night’s sleep. Dr. Dischler has been certified with the Qualified Dentist Designation by the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine to address your needs.
